OXIDISED STRACH
INTRODUCTION
Oxidized Starch is modified starch used an additive for coating & surface sizing by Textile Manufactures
DESCRIPTION
Oxidized starch has
a carboxyl group attached to it, which gives the desired
characteristics for Textile applications; oxidized starch has increased
water holding and water absorbing qualities. Which decrease the
tendency of penetration or migration in a pigment coating
formula.Oxidised starch has improved whiteness and it cooks to thin
paste, which is relatively clear at elevated temperature. Oxidized
Starch gels show considerably less set back and is less cloudy and more
fluid than unmodified parent starch .Moreover being anionic Oxidized
starch strong absorbers cationic dyes.
- Improved printability and pigment coating.
- Improved brightness and smoothness.
- Improved surface strength and provide holdout of printing inks

APPLICATION:-
PAPER INDUSTRIES:-
It is used as a wet
end additive for surface treatment of the paper & board. It is
filler retention as provide strength properties to sheets. In the
convention system it can be added as a paste of solution at the beater
end in a continuous system just before the refiners.
PACKAGING:-
Oxidized starch is available in 25-50 Kgs. Plastics lined HDPE.Woven bags.
